Why Buy A…Log Store

If you’re one of the estimated 1.9 million homes in the UK that has a wood burner, you will want to ensure that your firewood burns and heats your property as efficiently as possible. A well designed log store with slatted sides and a raised base enhances the flow of air around your firewood and reduces ground moisture from penetrating the logs. This helps speed up the seasoning process, resulting in drier logs that burn cleaner and hotter. In contrast, poorly stored and seasoned logs burn poorly due to excess moisture and produce more soot, which builds up and could result in maintenance issues as well as costly chimney cleaning bills.

A log store keeps your firewood in one place, neatly organised and ready for use. If you position a log store close to your door for example, it will mean only a brief foray outdoors to retrieve more firewood. Also, if you’re outside cooking on the BBQ or relaxing around the firepit, and you need to add more fuel, the logs will be quick and easy to retrieve – adding an extra layer of convenience that makes outdoor living more enjoyable.

In addition to convenience, practicality and efficiency, a log store can also enhance the aesthetics of your garden or patio. Rather than storing unsightly piles of firewood, well designed firewood storage combines style with practicality.
