The Garden Shed: Part 2 – Metal Storage
Whilst timber sheds are the traditional option for garden storage, the metal alternative is growing in popularity. But what are the advantages and why should you choose a metal shed for your garden?
Welcome to part two of our series The Garden Shed, where we use our expertise to highlight the benefits of timber, metal and plastic sheds to help you decide which is best for your garden. This time, Metal.
Durable
Metal shed panels may seem flimsy when they are taken out of the box, but when assembled they join together to form a solid, sturdy structure ideal for storing your garden essentials.

Resistant
Metal sheds are highly resistant to rot, rodent and insect attack owing to the durable nature of the material. Generally, they are also fire-proof which provides peace of mind that your valuables are safe and secure from worst case scenarios.
Simple
The metal construction means that this type of garden shed is extremely low maintenance. While timber sheds require treatment to keep them looking new and fresh, metal sheds are pre-painted, require no further treatment, and can be cleaned easily. The wide range of colours also makes it easy to find a shed that will suit the style of your garden.
Delivery is also straightforward. Most metal sheds are delivered in normal cardboard boxes in smaller parcels, whereas timber sheds are delivered in larger panel form and sometimes on heavy pallets, making metal sheds easier to move to the assembly location.

Budget Friendly
With less manufacture cost and cheaper material, metal sheds are generally more budget friendly. That doesn’t mean that they are low quality; even the cheapest metal sheds provide sturdy storage, and if you can afford to spend more, more premium, and heavier duty metal sheds are available – such as our Brentvale Range.
